Fire pit reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. A two-hour minimum reservation is required. Reservations will ONLY be accepted in combination with a reservation elsewhere in the Cultural Center.
Approved groups must check in at the Cultural Center front desk for required safety equipment before using the fire pit. The fire must be contained to the inner metal ring of the fire pit and only clean dry wood can be burned. No chemically treated wood, trash, plastics or flammable liquids are permitted. Surrounding burn pile area must be kept clear of flammable debris – bark, leaves, etc. At the scheduled event end time, the fire must be completely extinguished. Groups must check out at the front desk to return required safety equipment.
Outdoor burning may be completely suspended by ESFCC staff, WSU Fire and Safety, WSU Police and/or Pullman Fire at any time. Such tight restrictions may be announced due to high fire danger resulting from weather conditions, specific wildfire conditions, lack of available firefighting personnel, to protect air quality or other safety concerns.
